Atrial
Fibrillation
Atrial Fibrillation is a condition that causes your heart to beat irregularly or “flutter.” Your heart pumps blood throughout your entire body. Increased or abnormal heart rhythms cause your blood to be distributed incorrectly. The excess blood may develop into pools, creating what is called a blood clot. If the blood clot travels to the brain, then a person may experience a stroke.
"Atrial Fibrillation affects an estimated 2.2 million
people in the U.S. each day."
If you have this heart condition and are at least 18 years of age, you may qualify to participate in an Atrial Fibrillation Study. This study is to examine the effectiveness of an investigational drug for Atrial Fibrillation.
Health insurance is not required for your participation and financial compensation may be available for your time and travel.
