Research Hopefuls!

The good news for migraine sufferers is that researchers are developing a drug combination to provide fast self- administered migraine relief. With the use of a new oral inhaler, more of the drug would be delivered continuously to the lungs. Once the medicine reaches the lungs, it will spread quickly throughout the body, providing rapid onset relief of the pain. Additionally, if the lung directed dosage method continues to work as anticipated, then sufferers can look forward to being migraine free for 24-hours following administration.

Although migraines can be passed on from parent to child, the exact causes of migraines are unknown. There are a variety of symptoms which compose an attack — the most common being a headache. Other severe symptoms such as dizziness, fever, nausea and vomiting , vision changes, and numbness often require further medical attention.
